Brief: “Project Rescue” for large Digital Transformation program Government client. Establishment of process automation, digital content delivery and Cloud infrastructure. Initially disjointed with limited or no visibility of the work required to deliver the myriad of systems to be implemented. DSi stepped in to prepare the program blueprint and organise deliverables into subsets of activities. After preparing the communications plan for executive sponsors and sites, DSi project team worked with the vendors and client stakeholders to execute on agreed plan and re-baselined program. Ensuring there was a ONE-Team approach and providing transparency to senior executives, was key to the successful delivery of the program.


Solution: Project Services

Brief: “Project Rescue” for large network upgrade project. Highly visible project to migrate network services to new vendor. With no previous designs available and lack of quality data available to the new vendor, there was uncertainty with the best method to deliver. DSi utilised our PM-as-a-Serivce model and engaged the technical stakeholders to determine which services were most important and used prioritisation mechanisms to determine where the “Quick Wins” would be achieved. A plan was then put in place that rated the services and then applied an appropriate approach for the service transition. Having developed a transition process that implemented about 70% of the services, this was then handed back to the client to then manage using the same process.


Solution: Project Services, Business Analysis

Brief: Preparation of digital roadmap for staff registry and their work allocation across NSW, highlighting the processes that require automation and the systems they need to integrate with. DSi’s BA-as-a-Service model was used in this engagement and took the approach to overlay processes with the systems they integrate with to provide a better understanding of the solution to senior stakeholders. PM-as-a-Service model was then used to create the subset of activities and group them in a roadmap with timelines to then determine the workload for the next 12 months and the road to the new service.


Solution: Digital Automation and Business Analysis

Brief: Process Automation Health Check to determine which process would benefit the most from a UiPath automation solution. DSi held initial workshop to map out the layered processes to understand human and system interactions. This would then provide a path for the client to automate and improve processes along the way. Where technical consultants would not automate due to complexity in process, DSi always use a business and process analysis approach which enables us to provide a better outcome and more holistic approach combining business analysis with technical.

Brief: SharePoint On-Premise to SharePoint Online migration for a global IT services company with head office in South East Asia. Their expertise was in manufacturing and digital services but not in Cloud technologies. DSi held an architecture review workshop to work with the client on a Cloud Health Check and understand the current On-Premise Solution, Active Directory and Azures Services. After requirements gathering, we prepared a future state Design that included various recommendations and future enhancements that were prioritised using the MoSCoW method and stage the feature activation.  The project was delivered successfully and after providing their support staff training on the new O365 environment and Azure, we handed over the remaining feature activation to BAU.

Brief: Tier 2 Banking and Finance client was struggling using large Tier 1 consulting companies who were expensive and underqualified or inexperienced. DSi were brought in to provide Architecture-as-a-Service to review the Tier 1 vendor designs and highlight gaps in the solutions and prepare migrations. We also engaged via the Cyber-as-a-Service model to then prepare Cyber impact assessment on each solution that was being migrated from the acquisition of another Tier 2 Banking and Finance company. Working collaboratively with the client, we were able to review the new Microsoft Azure Cloud platform framework and Azure Sentinel security suite and provide recommendations on how technology meets business process and policy to craft a plan from migration to the new platforms for both businesses.

Brief: Cloud Health Check of technology stack to determine appropriate migration strategy to Microsoft Azure. Solution design of Azure IaaS and O365 migration for Tier 2 law firm. Full project lifecycle from inception, to planning, requirements gathering, design, build and implementation.
